One overlooked proofreading issue: sentence consistency.

If one sentence uses a clear, direct structure and the next becomes unnecessarily complicated, the reading experience can feel uneven.

A good proofreading pass looks beyond spelling mistakes. It considers sentence flow, punctuation, clarity, consistency, and readability.

The goal is simple: make the writing easier to read without taking away the writer's voice.

I always check for typos during the final edit, @Grace. One of the rewrites I do before the final edit is visualizing the script, which includes reworking the action lines.
