Welcome to Stage 32, Mia! It’s exciting that you’re moving from short films into your first feature screenplay. Wishing you the best as you develop your stories! I’m curious, what inspired the idea for your feature, and has your experience writing shorts influenced how you’re approaching it?
Thank you! My story is very loosely based on experiences from my own life, as well as those of some close friends. I have a minor in Psychological Studies alongside my film major, and that helps to inform the realism and authenticity with which I portray my characters. Admittedly, it was a little daunting to start writing a feature after writing shorts for so long, but that previous work has helped me develop my personal style.

Welcome aboard! I’d suggest getting rid of the word “aspiring”, though. If you write scripts, you’re a screenwriter.
