Introduce Yourself : 1st Assistant Director, Art Department, Script Supervisor, occasional Grip by Louisa Pang

Hi everyone, I'm Louisa Pang, and I'm currently writing this at 2am the night before I embark on a 2.5 week adventure known as night shoots. I've been working on this feature film for the past couple of weeks, and this production company, Spectacle Media Inc., for the past year and a half. I've been trying my hand at several different departments in film, namely assistant directing, script supervising, set dressing/decorating, gripping and lighting. I'd like to do more in camera department and editing, but the past couple of years have been good to me in terms of getting experience in those other departments, so I'm happy so far. I've worked on a number of award-winning short films, feature films, music videos, and commercials, all within the past two years. It's all about perseverance, hard work, and taking chances. Next month, I begin my third year at film school, where I'll tackle such things as television screenwriting and documentary cinematography. Eventually, I hope to write, direct, and produce my own films, but for now I'm content helping others bring their vision to reality. Well, that's all for now, I've still got to pack my overnight bag and get a bunch of things ready for tomorrow. Have a good night/morning/afternoon!
