Miles Summers, a successful Newport Beach stockbroker was killed in the Gulfo Tejuantepc. Mexican authorities said it was a robbery. Kate Simmons, Miles fiancé didn’t believe it. Her pursuit for justice left a trail of murder, sex, cocaine smuggling, and deceit. Her death was next! Most of the story is true. I lived it in Newport Beach CA in the late seventies-early eighties. It received headlines in The Orange County Register and the Daily Pilot. Now, the story can be told as most are deceased. I’m now 77, and need help in getting the story over the finish line as I’m running out of time and ideas. Granted, I’m an amateur but with the right professionals it would make a great screen play.
