Well, my name is Laura Guthrie and I am the founder and artistic director of a small, currently Edinburgh-based theatre company called Sunrise Theatre. Sunrise Theatre aims to create pieces with warmth, depth, and a underlying feeling of hope, which question conventional views; tint conventional theatre with novelty and creativity; and encourage tolerant, open ended discussion of specific chosen issues. Yesterday we finished the Fringe Festival run of our debut play, "Katiana Was Here", written, directed, produced and scored by myself. For more, see http://www.edgeeradica.co.uk/sunrise.html and http://www.edgeeradica.co.uk/fringe.html. We have already received high verbal critical acclaim and had numbers of audience members that are double the Fringe average on each night, so we are very pleased. On the last night, a film company, Broken Blonde, filmed the show for us. Our hopes for the future include producing a play for edgeeradica's Christmas 'festival eradica 3', as well as taking on new writing and projects as we discover them.
Thanks for your reply, it was hard work but SO worth it :D Glad to be part of the community here! Hope to hear more soon :)
