Cinematography : Live Broadcasting Options For Sony HVR-V1 by Stuart Smith

I'm moving into freelance journalism and was wondering what kind of options there are for getting my live video footage from camera to web. At the moment I have livestream and have successfully broadcast from my computer at home (using firewire). However when out and about what kind of hardware can I get for my camera to either stream straight to a website or to a computer with a dongle (which I could have in a backpack). The livestream livepack would be perfect but it's way too much money but that's what I'm trying to do here. What for instance do professional TV companies use and is there a simpler/cheaper way to do what they're doing without a satellite van! My camera's possible outputs include: Mini USB (I doubt that's any good though), HDMI, Component, Composite and FireWire.
