One-Man Show

Hey so I've been working on a show and in e initial stages of writing a fellow artist said I show write it as a one-man show. I laughed it off, but now seriously think it's the best way to comminicate my vision. However many of the characters are women. Does anyone have any advice on how to approach this? Are there any references to men in a one-man show playing male and female? I don't want to be nervous, but I'm trying to wrap my creative head around how to flow in this area. Very new to even think about doing a one man show. Advice. Insight. Heeelp.

Alot of well known actors have created characters of the opposite sex and have been successful. Remember you want to share your vision. DO IT!

Jonathan Johnson

You're right. Probably over thinking it, but I know as an artist, I'm looking forward to playing these characters. I just want my audience to go on the journey with me.

Heather Gibson

Whenever you hit that stage if your character was created to make the audience cry; then make them over cry. If your character is suppose to make them laugh; then have them laughing until they cry. I think you can do IT; remember your an actor. Smile.
