Bonjour from a Concept Artist/Design for TV and Film based in UK

Howdy!, My names lee Ray, or Lee-Ray depending on where you go on the web. I am an experienced Concept Artist/Designer . I have worked in Games, Books, low budget Indie films, and TV. My profile has some of the work i did for a CBBC show called HOUNDED back in 2010, great fun, comdey spacecraft based on various animals and everyday objects. I have since worked on 3 pilots still awaiting decisions on commissioning, The lastest DEADBEATS for BBC3 gave me an oppotunity to design several stages of a spirit/ghostss transformation. Challenging, but the end designs went down well so i have fingers crossed for the show to get greenlit. in the meantime I am looking to network with any writers or producer.director types who may need pre-visualisation of their scripts or pitches. There is no tactful way of putting this buit after regular requests over the last 5 years to "collaborate" ( work for nothing or a promise of "cake Tomorrow" I have to say PLEASE dont approach me about just doing a few "sketches" for free to help sell your idea. I have bills just like you and if I am not earning I am learning or developing my own ideas.( I dont pay myself either but at least I own the IP. ) on thwe other hand if you are serious, passionate and professional about your idea to have funding set aside for pre-viz then please do get in touch. I cant help but sound like a dick when I write this up but I have learnt from bitter experience that these "Golden oppotunites" are usually anything but. Well if you`ve read this far you may as well drop by the site and see if anything I do is of use to your project. Check it out! ( As Dr. Steve Brule says) - www.lee-ray.com Thank you for your time.

You don't sound awful when asking for compensation for your work, Lee-Ray. We all have bills that need to get paid and work takes time, time is money, especially when talent is concerned. I'm based in Michigan and there have been quite a few offers for employment, not a lot of pay so I understand your frustration. I actually have a project I'm working on now that will be funded soon. Just have to finish the red tape and I should be good. Its just a short indie film. Send me a message if you're interested in talking about it.
