In 2002 I bought my first DSLR and found myself involved in "the great film v digital debate" and around that time it was the hottest topic amongst for a while. Several years later we got over it to the point it isn't worth discussing. As newbee filmmaker, I'm experiencing history repeating itself and even found a documentary about it. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2014338/ Though I was brought up on film as a photography student and journalist, I've been using digital for 10 years and it's just got better. Haven spoken with a few DP's there's the same mixed emotions as there was for me back then. Change is inevitable, film manufacturers are slowing down and halting production on certain stock and camera manufacturers are making better cameras, just like the they did in the photo industry.
