Filmmaking / Directing : Fundage, Greenbacks and Backers... by Jennifer Alyse

Hey, guys, I have another question for you. I've found so much support from you, all, (thank you!) that I've decided to throw another question out. I'm, now, looking for funding for my project. This is a reality show with a huge emotional component and I think it fits beautifully into the soon-to-be-vacant Extreme Makeover Home Edition slot. So, here's where I'm at: I have 2 very impressive producers who like the project and I'm understanding that to shoot the pilot (5 days of filming, editing, etc) it's going to take about $25,000. I know that I can go through Kickstarter and other donation websites, but what is the typical way that people get funding for such a project? Any help you can give would be so helpful. Gracias!
