recently I purchase a spyder color calibrator for my imac and the colors do look amazing. as my preferred software, I love using After Effects "Color Finesse" for primary and secondary color correction, also i use "Magic Bullet Looks" to create a more stylize look, but sometimes i feel like I'm not 100% sure if it looks professional enough. I got 2 Question for you guys: what software do you use to perform color correction? any good tips on how to keep a consistent grade on your workflow?

I've been using Resolve... You have to test your grade in different scenarios, depending on what your final output will probably be. Your film will probably look different on your TV, than it will on your calibrated monitor, and on someone else's computer, and on a theater screen. Do a lot of tests, it's the best way to learn how each case will work for your film. And learn how to read the scopes on your grading package. How the highlights are rolling off, how the darks are being shown, etc etc. Grading is all about the subtle nuances of creating a mood for an image, but it can also be very stylized. It all depends on the story, on the motivation and on the vision for each project.
Thanks for your response, and it's so weird, now that you mentioned, i been doing the exact same thing. I been visiting my dad's on the weekends, and he has one of those huge 65 inches samsung led hd internet flat tv "monsters"... lol ...and since most of my work is shown online, i always like to vimeo and youtube it to compare the quality. Those are definitely great tips you are giving me Afonso. Thank you again...and Im currently downloading Resolve, i cant wait to give it a try.
