Can anyone tell me about adapting and how the arrangement goes between the adapter and the writing of the original work? I'm usually writing original works and so this is a bit new to me.
I don't know about screenwriting, but with books the advice is usually to sell the TV rights, decline any offers to get involved in any adaptation/writing but be an exec producer for each episode. I think in the contract you need to agree how far they can change your book.
Brill advice, D.E! There's so much blah blah blah, shopping agreement blether coming from wannabe screenwriters, you hit the nail on the head with one!
Excellent question, @Arthur ! With luck someone can chime in on this important topic.
