If you haven't heard, the amazing Ralph Bakshi is using Kickstarter to raise funding for a project he has been developing off and on for years. "Last Days of Coney Island" promises to be innovative, provocative, and endlessly fascinating as Bakshi uses his love of historic New York to create this new work he describes as ". . . an animated cop, mafia, horror movie set in the 1960s in Coney Island, with political overtones both realistic and outrageous." http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ralphbakshi/last-days-of-coney-island-0
Why doesn't anyone in the animation lounge care about this enough to comment on it?
Does anyone in the "animation" lounge even know who Ralph Bakshi is? I am not a troll. I am new to Stage 32, however, I am really surprised not one person has commented on this posting.
You do realize that one of the contribution gifts is direct feedback from Ralph on whatever artwork or concept you submit. If you are in this lounge looking for work, recognize that if this Kickstarter campaign is successful, Ralph will be hiring more animators for the project and looking to the future has expressed the goal of pursuing Wizards 2 and 3 for potentially more work. Just sayin'. Only 4 days left to check out the campaign page. What have you got to lose?
Hello!?!? Animators!?!?!? You have 2 more days to pay attention to this. For an $80 pledge Ralph will personally critique your animation or drawings and give you feedback. This the best $80 you might ever spend. And if you are great, you might even get a job!!! Don't miss out . . . https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ralphbakshi/last-days-of-coney-isla...
