Introduce Yourself : Richard DeVeau, Screenwriter by Richard DeVeau

Greetings, Everyone! I'm a screenwriter from Chicago. And I'm interested in two things that I'd like to pitch to this wonderful Stage 32 community. First, I believe Graven Image, my last screenplay, which placed in the top 20% of last year’s Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting competition (and resides here on Stage 32) deserves to be brought to life. I want to invite producers, actors, directors, even theater folks (the limited settings and some tweaks could also make this a compelling stage play) who are interested in powerful, emotive drama to please read and consider it. Second, since I write for a living (I'm an advertising copywriter and creative director) I find it difficult to spend as much time as I'd like working on my own stuff, which currently includes a mystery/thriller as well as sketches and notes for six other projects that I'm hoping to bring to life. As a result, I'd be interested in exploring the possibility of collaborating with another writer on my projects and theirs.
