Hi everyone, I'm looking for help finding myself in a small independent foreign short. It was shot 2 years ago and I only had a small part, but work love to see it and decide for myself if it's worth putting on a reel. The film is listed on IMDB and I've seen the trailer on youtube, but cannot find a source to get a hold of a copy. Is it rude to contact the director? If anyone might know how I can go about finding a copy, or if you're been in a short and have had difficulty yourself, please contact me. Thanks! Dan http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1825064/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
It's not rude in the least, Dan, omg, shake that director down for a copy! Joking aside, was a copy of the film part of your agreement and/or on the release form you signed? If so, you are legitimately owed a copy. If it was not, then you're asking for a highly reasonable favor. Depending on the production, you might make more headway with the producer, but if you have rapport with, and an email address and/or phone number for, the director, go for it. Let professionalism and manners be your guide, and you'll be fine.
