Comparison

I just got into color correction and I could not help to wonder; Speed Grade or Magic Bullet? I know there are cost considerations but aside from that. Thoughts, and opinions please.

Thank you for your insight Mr. Sierkowski. I will download that program and check it out.

If you are just starting out with color correction, I will start with the editing application tools first. Get a colorist understanding with color correction (Gamma, Lift, Gain) or (Offset,Power, Slope: ASC-CDL), primary, secondary and tertiary color theories. Speed Grade is great when working with Adobe Premiere and After Effects. I don't care to much for Magic Bullet but it is a great app. Hands down you should try DaVinci Lite if you want to get Conforming, EDL and AAF file exchange experience with different editors.
