Distribution : Independent Filmmakers and Film Festivals for independent by Jonathan B Perera

One of the greatest way to show your work seems to be film festivals (besides the internet, Youtube, Stage 32...) But the more I send movies, the more it seems to me that Film Festivals are not that open for films that are auto-produced - mostly by self-taught filmmakers. It turns out to be more and more difficult for independents that produce their very own movies to be screened in festivals. Well, that's what I came to understand as I met several filmmakers worldwide in the same situation. So I started wondering, what film festivals really take no interest in the name of the production company or the distribution?
