Introduce Yourself : Looking Forward! by Jecy Joan

Hi guys, I’m a new fellow here at Stage 32, a late bloomer! Though, I started writing a story since I was 12. Thought just a hobby that I really enjoyed in my free time but when I was 18… decided to joined scriptwriting contest! The funny thing… I found out, it was not a scripted way! Yes, disappointed but I’ve learned from it! At 19, I have my first script! That was awesome and shared it to my Mom, classmates and friends! Really a great compliment to hear all good words from them! Not because they’re my family, classmate or friends it’s because we’re engineering students and my Mom is an accountant! Not related at all! I continue writing script and after graduation, I decided to pursue my hobby! I read different books and do searched about the whole process in doing a script! And also, attended workshops and first time I directed a 10 minutes short film! And had a chance to work in a documentary show in a short period of time. And met veteran writers and lucky to be mentored by them. Until, my family decided me to go abroad for vacation and insisted me to pursue my engineering career! I tried engineering and got the position, all engineers wanted! I should be happy and contented… but there’s a missing piece! Until, I was on a rooftop of a high condominium building and saw the difference of life! And remind me all the advices from my family if I pursue my hobby! I knew what the missing piece is! The real happiness that will conquer the ambitious and desire to put everything in reality! Showbiz industry is not a place that we thought it is! Inclination is not enough! But, the eagerness to pursue your passion that gives significative of beyond your wildest imagination! I might be a late bloomer but all I need is a chance to prove my claims.
