Britain's unique magazine of theatre nostalgia 'old theatres'

Hi, there, I am Terry Kirtland, Chairman of Britain's unique magazine of theatre nostalgia, OLD THEATRES. It is a brilliant publication designed to introduce people of all ages to our great theatres. We include histories and memories which once in print are saved for generations to enjoy. The magazine is published three times a year and its Patrons include many theatre stars including Ken Dodd OBE, and is now also available in America. Each edition has over 50 pages and more than 100 illustrations, many in full colour. Needless to say, the magazine is a labour of love, but our readers are delighted with what we do. More information can be seen on our web pages www.oldtheatres.co.uk

We are delighted to link up with theatre enthusiasts on both sides of 'the pond'. We have some great theatres in the UK, steeped in history, and lots of lovely readers who can tell us all about them. Lovely to hear from you! www.oldtheatres.co.uk

Terry, my wife's parents were Michael Howard (one of the comedians who kept the Windmill Theatre open during the Blitz) and Peggy Evans, who's still with us at 92. We're in the US but we're going to suggest my brother in law subscribe and get back issues for mum. She played many of the UK's theatres through the 40s. So happy to stumble upon this! Cheers!

Oh, well, Michael was actually born MacKenzie, but changed his name 'cause in the 30s Scottish names were declasse ... Peggy Evans was her real name though as well as her stage name ...

Wow, that sounds awesome. We have an old (relatively to us) theater here in Florida called the 'Tampa Theater' It's been featured a few times in magazines. I figured I'd pass it on. Do you all make a digital version?
