Hi, I'm new to this whole business. Having worked in the civil service for 23 years I took redundancy last December and decided to set myself up doing what I've always wanted to do - making film shorts. I picked up my first camera, a Kodak 110 Instamatic when I was 8 and have enjoyed photography ever since. Later in life I helped at amateur dramatic groups doing sound, lighting, set design and directing and realised that I had a particular talent for the dark and scary side of the arts. I'm hoping to be able to produce my own films soon but in the meantime I'm looking to get in on as many projects as I can in order to learn and earn. I'm also developing my photography and using my company as an organ for this side also. I allowed myself a year after redundancy to get things set-up and running and that time is now coming to an end so any tips, suggestions or potential projects to look out for would be greatly appreciated from anyone who's been there and got through to the other side, and also from any fellow newbies who've found something that has worked for them. My website is www.MetamorpheusLtd.com and my writing is at StephenFarringdon.com Thanks for reading, I look forward to making connections with you.
