Introduce Yourself : Competition winners and shorlisters by David Kirkham

Hi. I've been writing for just over three years now. My first ever feature film screenplay was just announced as a top ten shortlister in the BAFTARocliffe New Writing 2013 (film) competition. However, for all the support Rocliffe are giving me since telling me that, I feel I may as well not have entered at all. Has anyone ever been a winner or shortlister for a big new writing competition? What was your experience afterwards? What happened to your screenplay or project?
