Introduce Yourself : Artistic value to society. by Maureen Andrew

Ah, we are all mad. but in the best possible way. Where would the world be without us, writers, performers, musicians, artists, creatives, designers, It specialists. And yet, unless we are at the very top of our tree, government, business enterprises (other than our own) value us lowly. So I continue to ask this question. If you think we chose the wrong career path and would like us to change our identity are you then happy to never see another film, listen to another band, view another piece of artwork, read a great book.. all created by artists who struggle to present their work, bust their guts to make a living, all in the name of art. This is how it is in Australia. What is it like in the rest of the world??? Maureen
