Hi everyone. I'm looking for a fellow comedy writer to join me in writing a brand new, original sketch show for TV. Let me know if you're interested at all.
Hi Mark. Do you have representation at the moment? Also, could you give me any details about the type of sketch show you're looking to work on? I'm pitching a sitcom to Channel 4 end of October and both my script editor and i are pretty certain that my 2nd sitcom will be scaled down and more suited to pitch as a 2-3 part mini series/comedy (Christmas/New Year type prgramming) so it's freed up some time.
Hi James. I don't have an agent, no, but I am a credited writer, having had jokes used by a number of top comedians. I've already got one sketch show being looked at by a few production companies, but I'd really like to write one that pushes the boundaries on a few subjects. Does that sound appealing to you? And all the best with your sitcom!
That sounds very appealing Mark; i love pushing those boundaries! Do you have any themes in mind or will it be a 'from scratch' venture? Recurring characters in different situ's? Sounds like fun. Also, what are your time frames because, at the moment, i'm a full time dad of four(!) so most of my writing tends to take place once i've terrorised them to bed and weekends when the wife is home from work.
That's fantastic. Too many people play it safe nowadays. Well I thought if I was to co-write with someone again, it would be silly to go into it with too many themes in mind. It would be good to throw ideas around first and see what we fancy using. Obviously I have a couple of ideas floating around in my cranial abyss, but I've already been told by my girlfriend there's pushing the boundaries and there's destroying my career. So we'll see what you think! I'm happy to write whenever suits you as I have no restrictions at the moment. I'll send you my email address in a private message. Email me any time with any sketch/character ideas.

i guess i'm too late for this? have several good ideas for sketches?
Yeah I'm afraid James and I have written together ever since. We're getting somewhere so we're reluctant to change anything at the moment. Sorry Carl.
