Introduce Yourself : Introducing Music Library Producer by Jason Donnelly

Hello everyone! I am a Chicagoan transplant in Los Angeles. 12 years ago I started a royalty free loop company called Peace Love Productions (after losing my job at Sonic Foundry in Madison WI when the tech market crashed). Built it up from scratch , from the ground up. Did everything from creating up to date content, to learning web programming, to creating an ecommerce site, to marketing, sales, and acquiring distribution in other countries. All of this with nothing but a team of one other person and a lot of support from a couple friends in the industry (you know who you are and thank you so much for the little push so to speak). Sold that company in 2008 with a dream of taking things to the next logical step, music for sync (TV, Film, and Video Games). Started up a new royalty free loop biz with my bro Matthew Yost one that is making serious waves in Denver CO and continued to sharpen my skills. In 2010 I received an offer to submit tunes to a reputable music library / licensing company in Hollywood who instantly accepted me. Now in 2013 I have 111 EXCLUSIVE songs with that company many of which have been placed in TV and Video Games and 100 songs with similar company called Down Boys Productions (founded by the band known as Warrant) with my bro Stacey Blades some of which are already in A & E's editing studio. I also have a killer team of gifted composers who help to crank out 100 new original songs every month for a client who owns a royalty free video and music site. I think collectively there are over 1000 songs in our library personal. Here's to 2014. I can not wait. We are already rockin it and making tons of money doing what we love. I feel blessed. Megan McKay and I are getting married in Italy! Then back to Chicago to have a party for friends and family who can not go to Italy. This way we can celebrate our marriage Chi-style and have the best of both worlds. So we will see you next year either in Italy or Chicago as we are not going back to Illinois for the holidays. Staying here in the warm sunny SoCal weather :P In 2014 I hope to set the bar higher once again with dreams of getting some custom scores and more major network placement and possibly a feature film.
