PROOF OF CONCEPT AND SCREEN TEST FILMING [WEST OF SCOTLAND] [an opportunity for actors to be Screen Tested, and viewed by influential Entertainment Industry people] We are shortly scheduled to undertake a planned proof of concept process, during which we will shoot footage within various locations around the areas of Glasgow and Inverclyde. An important aspect of the proof of concept filming, is that of an extended screen test for selected actors in a diverse variety of non-speaking roles. We have chosen the concept of "Character Biography" as a template for the proof of concept and extended screen test filming, which may lead to paid acting opportunities within the unique "Tales of the Clyde" Mainstream Feature Film for Charity project. The proof of concept and screen test footage is not intended for commercial use in any way, however it is intended for viewing by a number of influential entertainment industry people, in the hope that the participating actors, and any participating crew, may benefit from additional paid filming opportunities outside the "Tales of the Clyde" project. CREDIT & BENEFITS Although this proof of concept and screen test material is not intended for public viewing, and will instead be viewed by invited people within the entertainment industry, and any other associated people involved in possible financing of the main Feature Film to be developed this year, all participants will be credited for their participation and involvement in the proof of concept and screen test filming, with their participation credit and contact information being provided along with the filmed material to these influential people. This is being done with the intention that all participants will benefit from the necessary exposure to perhaps be contacted directly for paid work within the entertainment industry by those viewing this filmed material. PAYMENT AND NATIONAL MINIMUM WAGE There is no direct commercial gain being generated from the filming of this Character Biography material, which is regarded as part of a proof of concept and screen test process. If however any material is utilised at a later stage, which is deemed to directly generate financial gain, any actors and crew involved in the generation of the material used will be contacted and paid accordingly. To clarify any legal issues of National Minimum Wage on no-pay filming projects of a non-commercial nature, both HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS) confirm this is NOT beaching any law if no-pay is stipulated, if there is not a formal employer-employee relationship established, and if there is no direct commercial gain from the filming itself. PARTICIPANTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS OLD Anyone under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian to apply, and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on any filming, with formal written permission provided prior to filming. All applications must include a Landline Contact Number and at least One Current Photograph. As the filming is part of the proof of concept and screen test process, there are no fees or expenses paid, however their may be transportation provided between sets and locations for selected participants. USE OF PREVISUAL ANIMATION To make the screen test process as simple as possible for all participants, regardless of experience, we will provide Computer Generated (CG) Previsual Animation footage of the scenes to be filmed. This will show those involved what will be expected from each scene using CG locations, characters, props, etc.
