I won a screenwriting scholarship last December at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, and began classes on March 3. Next week will be my last, and by the beginning of May I will be back in North Carolina to put a polish on the project I started while I was here, and develop a game plan for what comes next. It's been an exciting journey and I hope to take what I have learned, and who I have met and shape them into a successful screenwriting career. My focus will always be on strong female characters with a remarkable story to tell, and I feel I have the skills and the education now to make my dreams a reality.
