Diving headfirst into being a TV writer

About seven weeks ago I started a course to coach me through writing a TV spec script and an original TV pilot. Today I have a finished spec script for Brooklyn Nine Nine and by this evening I will have a completed first draft of an original pilot. Before this I had never written a television script. I am inspired by the process and motivated to keep going. Just wanted to say hello and connect with fellow Stage 32 members.

Hey E.J., sounds awesome my friend. What's the course you're taking, Is it online, book, or in person somewhere? Love hearing people's stories and adventures!

Monti Washington

That sounds great my man! I would love to stay posted with this! You ever need an actor to shoot a pilot for any of your scripts I would be happy to volunteer my time no problem!

Richard "RB" Botto

Good for you for not only diving in, but seeing it through, E.J. Terrific accomplishment.

Deneta Davis

Man, that's awesome! Thats a huge accomplishment and a great show. Hope you plan on submitting it to all the fellowships and contests.

Andy Samborg is it? (brook 911) Sure is a funny man. Like an Adam Sandler. What fun writing slapstick or is it Stichk?

Laura Eileen Sanchez

Hi EJ do you have a job now.. on Brooklyn 99?
