Introduce Yourself : Susie Griswold - Actress, Writer, Producer and Director by Susie Griswold

Susie Griswold became an avid writer after winning a writing competition in third grade. Her piece "Thanksgiving Makes Me Think of All The Things I Am Thankful For" was published in the local newspaper. From that moment on Susie wrote poems, short stories and songs. While creatively dabbling in writing Susie also wanted to perform the characters she created. She enlisted in all drama classes available and performed on stage from middle school and throughout her college career. Susie studied television production in college and later came across script writing. She wrote, produced, and directed several shorts, a web series and a feature film. Susie earned her SAG-AFTRA union card as a background actress and worked on several films such as Anger Mangement, Taking Woodstock, Salt, Peace, Love and Misunderstanding, The Place Beyond The Pines and more. She moved her acting career to the next level when she became the female lead in the independent feature Orphaned. Thriving on her love in all aspects of film making she turned one of her shorts into a feature film and co-produced, co-directed, and is the female lead in the independent feature Bumpin Uglies. Susie has also performed in commercials, modeling for photo shoots and as a television co-host. Susie is a member of New York Women in Film and Television and is the Programming Chair for Upstate Independents, a film making and networking group in the NY Captial Region.
