Actors, what's up?
You have a pleasant relaxing speaking tone. I can easily picture you as a character actor.
The audio is all over the place
Have you got any advice on what to use when recording on a mac if you have no access to a camera with an external mic? Or were you referring more to my vocal audio?
My question would be why you picked this monologue. You're reciting it yes, but do you honestly believe and feel what you're saying? I didn't get that. As an actor you must commit fully to what you're saying. If you truly don't believe neither will I, and I didn't get the sense that you did. Actors are so afraid to just go all in and frankly to make a connection with your audience that's what you have to do. Watch Tom Hanks in Cast Away when Wilson floats away. After you watch that pick a monologue that speaks to YOU, not something you think people may want to hear. Good luck!
Thanks Floyd. I understand where you are coming from exactly. In terms of submission we were only allowed to choose from certain pieces. And this one honestly felt the closest to me. With time restraints and recording faciiclties I would have liked to do more. but I am glad I got a version out. It gives me a chance to learn!
