Hi there, this is my first post to the lounge and was wondering if anyone else has experienced what seems to be affecting me. I have just completed my first experience as an actor in a play. The role I had was not large but it did require a monologue. There were six performances and after each performance I felt totally exhausted, mentally and physically. Has anyone else felt this? I appreciate your replies as I am trying to decide if the stage is for me or do I continue with film and tv roles.

depending on how long the play is and if you eat and drink water when your not on set, you definantly need to get your rest. Do you get paid for the play? do you do 2 a day? how many hours are you there? Just get lots for rest and drink liquids and bring a snack when your not on stage.
