This may be a crazy question, but it has been awhile since I took a filming class... Do you have to have a film completed before you find a distribution help or do find help first???

not necessarily. If the film has name actors and an established director, you can get distribution possibly even completion funds. otherwise it is kind of tough.if it is a freshman director and unknowns, probably not. get alternative financing and either complete it or shoot a sizzle reel. If you shoot a sizzle, it better be awesome ;)
