My name is Linell Jeppsen. I am a novelist with over eight titles published with WOLFPACK PUBLISHING> I am most interested (right now) in my "western" trilogy. I won't post the book titles lest I be accused of spamming... eeek! My question is this. I think my un-named western trilogy would make a fine film. How do I go about shopping for a film company, and is what I hear true- that any novel must always be written into a screenplay before a studio will even consider it?

Linell, I would be interested in discussing your ideas further. Larger studios and producers usually want to see some adaptation to screenplay. Smaller indie filmmakers may be willing to help write the screenplay and then seek funding. Perhaps we can talk privately about your expectations. Terrence
oops! Go to http://www.amazon.com/Deadmans-Lament-Linell-Jeppsen-ebook/dp/B00HGJVCXC... or http://www.amazon.com/Dead-Mans-Fury-Linell-Jeppsen-ebook/dp/B00MMRTS0M/... on Amazon for a closer look! Thanks! Nel
If you like what you see, let me know... I picture something like HBO's DEADWOOD- without all the cussing! (LOL!)
OOOPS! There- a mistake on my part already! How do I stay in a private conversation with someone?
Thanks guys!
I found Mr. Magee (One Star's Light Productions) right here on Stage 32. He was interested in a new western and we have been communicating for over a year about my novel. He paid for option rights and wanted to renew after finding a good western screenwriter. Honestly, he seems like a fine and honest fellow- I'm more worried that something bad happened to him than the fact he longer wants to go forward with this project... Hope he's okay!
And, Gregory- yeah- I would LOVE to find an agent! Got any tips?
