Sure I'm over 50 and still trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my life. Hopefully it will be in Film and Animation because these are the gifts God has blessed me with.

Writer, Producer, Director, Actor, Editor, etc... Right now I'm working with a producer on a Golf Comedy that will feature 2 Hollywood Legends (we're actually making history having them both in the film), and a phenomenal Biopic of a Rock Star. Lot of hard work, but it's a blast.

Got more tricks up my sleeve but getting one of these projects off the ground could be the game changer I'm looking for. :)

Congratulations Lynne and Brad. This article is 5 years old. I searched the projects that Higher Purpose has worked on and is currently working on (via IMDb Pro) and there was nothing about this movie. Is there an update to see where the status is? Did the deal fall apart somehow? I know first-hand that some projects take a long time to develop, and just because they option the script doesn't mean it's going to get made. But a follow-up helps people to know what to expect once a script is picked up. Thanks!

Hello all. I'm a Director/Producer/Actor/Writer who has several projects on my plate right now. I'm currently in the process of putting together a comedy that has great potential of distribution (I can explain more in DM). The story is written but I'm early in the process of putting the screenplay together and I was trying to hook up with a great up-and-coming comedy writer. The story is not a Christian film per-say, but does have a faith-based element to it (so you have to be okay with that too).

If you think your comedy chops are great and you want to possibly collab with me on making a great story very funny, then let me know. If you have any previous work in this area, it would help. I don't want to spend a lot of time testing the waters to find out that you're not as funny as you think you are (ha ha). I will add this - you also have to be willing to not be afraid of the comedy. In other words, we won't walk on egg shells to not offend someone. Comedy is supposed to offend some people. If it's funny, we will explore it. I'm not looking for raunchy (like National Lampoon), but classic comedy (like Happy Gilmore or Austin Powers). If this is you, introduce yourself and let's begin a conversation. Adding samples of your work will go a long way :)

I will be partnering with someone to write a script based on their book. My production company will option the rights to make this film as a movie. So my big question is, is there a conflict to have the option agreement to be between myself and the book author (as writers) and my production company and myself as Producer? I'm seeking to make the partnership legal and I can do all of that through the Option Agreement. So I'm not sure if I first need to draft a partnership agreement between the two of us and then an Option Agreement between the production company and us as the writers, or put that all in the same Option Agreement. I know this stuff is done all the time but I'm used to dealing in one thing or the other, not both at the same time.
