Hi, I just posted a screenplay I am working on. It is a musical biography about a fake person. If you wish, take a look at it. Thanks
Hi James, thanks for the offer, I'm up to my elbows working on my screenplay, and I am looking for a Leonardo.ai expert to hire for a few hours to help me with prompts of images.
I get advice constantly on screenwriting software. I've used at least four different kinds. I downloaded Scenarist last night. Why are there so many opinions on software? Which one should I use? I'm just getting started on screenplays.
It really is a about the official screenwriting 'margins'; using the "US letter," option, at the end, without changing any ,'margins," settings you should end up, whatever screenwriting software you use, with exactly the same page count -- but you don't?! Clearly I am missing someting!
I currently use Writerduet. I will check the margins. I don't know what the US letter option is. I will look it up.
I think WriterDuet ,( which I use the free version of) standardly is set in US letter, as is Final Draft, still I feel you get a different page count, but not sure...somebody enlighten me ..
I sent off ten pages of my screenplay to be evaluated. I'm happy with this statement. As a fan of Sci-Fi, space exploration, and big ideas, I think the writer has an intriguing concept with potential. I like the idea of a future where corporations own/run countries/governments. As a fan of Sci-Fi, space exploration, and big ideas, I think the writer has an intriguing concept with potential. I like the idea of a future where corporations own/run countries/governments. It's heady, percipient, and relevant to today. Not too happy with this statement. Not only do astronauts not talk like this, but no one does. I understand I have a lot to learn. This is harder than I imagined.
Show don't tell and show us through action, and save some mystery and intrigue so it can be parceled out.

He walks around town having simple dialogue with the same background music for 20 minutes. Yet it is totally compelling because of Billy Bob Thorntons vision for that character. And he won an Oscar for it. Remember nobody knows anything!!
Dwight Yoakam btw just born for that role. I think just about anybody has his character in their life at some point in time or at least knows somebody like that.
Haha. I just left Nashville for Pensacola after a 10-year stretch in Music City as an aspiring singer-songwriter. I imagine this industry is very similar — everybody's got that hit song; everybody's got that blockbuster screenplay.

My ambitions are tempered, I assure you, as I've had plenty Ralphie-esque moments of unshakable self-assurance when thinking that if only the right person could witness this masterpiece then surely they'd fund the bill to help see it reach the masses and all my self-doubt as an artist will be dispelled.
I have some published songs I'm proud of. I don't regret trying to get them heard. But it was tough getting them produced. I'm no Prince, so I rely on other musicians to help me achieve my vision. I expect the same from this industry, where as a writer, you wholly depend on others to help your dream be realized.
One day, I had an idea for a story. It all came out in a weekend. It was only about 3,300 words and a buddy of mine published it in his collection of short stories. Several of his readers liked it. I shared it with an online filmmaker and he suggested I turn it into a screenplay and submit it to festivals and so I did.
And that's how I fell in love with the act of writing a screenplay. I absolutely love this medium. I've tried to write novels but I tend to re-read and edit what I write a lot as I go so it takes me forever and it's exhausting.
Screenplays, however, rely on visual storytelling so much more and it's possible to say so much in a short space. I am hoping to turn some of my friend's short stories into screenplays now. It's a lot of fun.
I have his cell number, but I can't give it out. I got it from E. T.
LOL - he would've had the first mobile phone!
I will read your script. Is the offer still good? How do I find it? I posted my script. It is Deep Space Seed: Shapeshifter. Type it into search and it comes up.
I hear that.

Use Final Draft formatting. It is reasonably priced. A serious reviewer would not take consider reading it otherwise. Thanks for the read.
Welcome.
Hi! My name is Gregory and I'm new to the site here and I hope to get a story I wrote made into a TV show episode, have one of my stories made into a movie would be a dream come true (a guy can dream right?) other than that I'm a graphic artist/illustrator who can do concept art and story board work for you.
Hi Greg, I am not a graphic artist, but I wanted to author a graphic novel. I put the worst drawn graphic novel ever on Amazon. But I accomplished my goal. Hoping for better things for you.
HEY MR. BUY!!! Your being a real jerk with your post!!!!
Hey James, Thanks for the comment. If you plan on doing your next book and need a cover, just let me know.
How many of you, meaning everyone who reads this, still go to a theater to watch a movie? I still go. I love watching movies in the theater. The movie is more enjoyable to me in that setting.
I understand. Glad you built your own.
James , For years I used to go to every movie that came to the local super cinema, no matter how bad orridiculous it sounded .I loved the experience snd no longer being able to go is one of the worst aspects of a health issueI I now have.that prevents me from going anymore. I MISS it!
Sorry for your loss of something that you loved.

But it leaves out kids, Christians, and people who enjoy less extreme movies. Why don't screenwriters offer two versions of their screenplays? One r - rated version and one cleaned up version. This is what song writers do. They call one version the radio edited or clean version. I would think offering a clean version, as well as a r-rated version, would produce more revenue. Does anyone agree?
Thanks for your knowledge.

I showed where PG - 13 movies outsell R movies. I questioned why there are not more PG - 13 movies.
I stated if I were making movies, I would focus more on PG - 13 movies.
I never asked for any special considerations.
The Clue movie was released, with three versions showing in theaters. Why can't a R version and PG - 13 version be shown simultaneously?
Again, if it made money they would do it.
Second it actually has nothing to do with the writer. I could writer a lovely character full of love and innocence. The actor adds swearing and plays it like a serial killer. People like it, tada, new character.
Uploaded new version of screenplay. Hoping it's better than it was.
Hi folks, I've been a member on this site since forever but never got active. Just sending out a big hello and good wishes to everyone here.

Dude, I'd LOVE for you to post in the Producing Lounge - maybe you can share a little about what it was like PMing for Roland Emmerich on 10,000 BC? https://www.stage32.com/lounge/producing I just wrapped on an indie feature as a PM and I'd love to know the similarities and differences!
Newbie here. Nice to meet you!
Hi, well I hit a personal milestone. I uploaded my finished screenplay. I invite you to read it. It's about a shape shifter with a conscience. He's caught between doing the right thing as a shape shifter and doing the right thing as a man. I think it's good, but what do I know?
I would appreciate you...

I would appreciate your thoughts. Be kind, rewind, and remember I am new at this.
Thanks.
Working on the next final version of my screenplay.

Expand postHello, my name is David Zannoni and I am delighted to do my next AMA this coming Monday!
My expertise is collection account management (CAM), which is essentially about management and allocation of revenues generated from international distribution. I have been involved in over 300 film projects, and work with producers, sales agents, financiers, investors, talent and agents from all over the globe.
I also consult for production companies and executive produce for projects from Mexico (currently on an amazing project called “Dear Eszter”), and I am the delegate for the Mexican National Chamber of the Film Industry (CANACINE) for the Caribbean State of Quintana Roo (Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum).
I’d love to answer your questions about film financing, specifically seem from the point of view of collection account manager, who allocates and disburses film revenues and who has the job to protect each beneficiary’s position, including that of the financier.
Here’s a blog post about the position of the financier on indie film projects that I wrote for Stage 32: https://www.stage32.com/blog/how-to-protect-the-financiers-position-on-i...
You're welcome, James.
It appears you need a nap. Busy Busy.
Haha I might take a nap later, James. Probably around 5 PM Est after I'm done with Stage 32 comments/messages and writing. Thanks.
