Who here has experience in multi-layer compositing with moving mattes, CGI added material with camera tracking and using live characters within a scene? With and without a green screen. Just curious? And, if so, what kind of software did you use?

Alright, I'm hooked - what's FAT CHANCE about? The poster art is great! We can't wait to screen your film TWO WORLDS at Hollyshorts next month!
I love this poster! Is it DNA and fat cells? Please post a note when it comes out. Would it be screened at a place like St Anthony Main? -- All the best.
Do need any FX work, or Post production work? I can help.
A build file for our short film "All Nighter," originally produced in March 2015.", and has been re-released as an extended edition.
You know when you work so much, you don't have quality time to do your Video projects? Been there. Hopefully soon, I can get some days free if anyone needs local production help. I also have a studio sitting idle which includes a fully equipped Green screen. Feel free to give me a shout out. This is also a "NO cost. to all members here. Cheers -Mark-

It was a comedy based screen play that grew legs during the short shooting schedule. It turned out to be a mish-mash of Ideas that lead to the short film. ALL the material was filmed on Green Screen, and the posted ion in various FX programs, and mixed in my studio. This is the "DVD" version, but is also available on Blu-Ray at full HD.
How important do you think it is making small little shorts to hone your craft as a filmmaker? Thanks
Thanks folks! I really appreciate it. And I totally agree in my opinion I think someone should shoot as many shorts as possible whether there one minute or 10 minutes before they go to a feature.
100% agree. Spielberg , and Lucas began their wares in a garage. Look what happened. Ton's of trial and error, and probably a lot of misfires. They never gave up. I would be curious, going back in to...

I would be curious, going back in to their history, how many "Super 8" three and a half minute films they made? Before Lucas hit pay dirt in 1977 with Star Wars, or Spielberg with "Jaws, or Jurassic Park?" We all the potential. It just takes time, and a whole of patience .
I think it is very important. To add to what Mark Nickells rightfully said, look at Steve McQueen's IMDB. He made a lot of short films before making Hunger, the film that got him into Hollywood. Now he is an Oscar winner.

Well, it's been awhile. Have had a lot of projects on the docket including a career change. So, been busy. Locally, have finally wrapped "All Nighter.", a short film . And in the process of final production and distribution. I was lead camera and FX engineer. To be continued.
Hi there Mark, thanks for the connect! Have good friends in Minnesota, mostly veterans--great people, great place to be!
Hello Mark, It is always a joy to connect with another local creative. I am glad for the connection.
My two cents, for whatever it's worth... Don't ever give up on your passion for screen writing, because you will never know what you could have accomplished, if you give up on it. Now, I am A film a film producer, have a green screen studio, and a full production house. Oh, and have nine full-length feature films ready for "Action."

After Effects a lot, then Nuke and sometimes Fusion. The camera tracking is normally always an import from either PFTrack or SynthEyes depending on the company I've worked for, but in each case it's the same but different, if you know what I mean. :)
