Chandler, a young American Air-force pilot during WWII, is captured by German forces and brought to a Stalag. Upon hearing of another prisoner's failed escape to the Spanish border, he dreams of his own plan to get to Spain with the unlikely guidance of a woman he hardly knows, into the most daring journey he will ever make.
