This tale is as old as time. They say that a spirit comes at night to bring peace and joy to one’s house. Even presents at Christmas. He looks like an old man but with pure baby-like eyes and big heart. Oh, but there is a man who finds himself on the edge of life, asking whether the life is worth living. When the man is about to fall into an abyss, there comes this spirit. The playful creature does not even know what frustration means... he simply knows to be. He is free. He is “Domovoi”. Through clown, dance, movement and fantasy, DOMOVOI explores the playfulness and its importance, emotional empathy, the invisible touch and the human tragedies. The performance brings forward the common modern “disorder” – the longing feeling of being lost, when one is not able to see nor to enjoy the small things in life that construct the true everyday happiness. It is a clownesque, poetic spectacle about delusion, hope and deliverance.
