Hertz (2009)

Full Overview

The surrounding environment is full of sounds that the human ear can hardly perceive. 'Hertz' is the story of Valentina, a cellist who is lost in a labyrinth with no way out, the labyrinth of auditory distortions. Trying to evade, Valentina will go out of her mind, and violently destroy her apartment. Her hart beat and the sound of her breathing is perceived as being something outside her, and ' being' is something that happens only in the mind. An experimental film because it focuses on the actual frequencies of sound in the surrounding environment, trying to reproduce auditory hyper sensibility and perception.
