Seattle born artist Marita Dingus' work reflects her African American heritage and her commitment to reusing materials for a greater purpose. Her current exhibit at the Northwest African American Museum features clothing that she made upon returning to Seattle after spending years in the South. Marita is a Guggenheim Fellow who holds her BFA from Temple University and her MFA from San Jose State University.
