In an alternate world where masked superheroes are commonplace and crime is rampant, middle-aged logistics employee Roy Greene doubles as a bat-wielding vigilante, seething with rage. However, he finds new purpose when he's recruited by a mysterious elderly man into a team of disenfranchised and heavily air-quoted "superheroes", consisting of an undead detective, a brain-damaged martial artist, and an apathetic hitman-for-hire.
