Directed by Jennifer Silverio, the story brings us to 1956, where a string of murders of young, African American men have taken place throughout New York City. While the killer is at large, Mary Mercer (Ivery), an investigative journalist for the New York Reporter finally gets her chance to prove herself. A determined spirit battling an African American boss who'd rather turn the other cheek, the societal belief in the inferiority of women, and a corrupt police force, Mary embarks on a thrilling journey to discover the strength to succeed in the face of doubt.
