I started drawing when I was 7. At least, that's as far back as I can remember. I credit Charlie Brown and Bugs Bunny as my first teachers as I spent many hours trying to draw those wonderful characters of the Peanuts gang while plopped down in front of the TV watching Bugs Bunny cartoons. I didn't know it then, but I was learning the art of storytelling. Not overcomplicated storytelling, but simple and pure storytelling that would later in life guide who I wanted to be as an artist.
I spent the next 25+ years after graduating from college as both an illustrator and a photographer. With a background in both of these fields, I find I approach every project as a storyteller. I want the image to connect with people whether it's through a single image from the camera, or through a series of images as I now move into video.
