About Robert

Robert Cristian Trif is an award winning Romanian Actor, Scriptwriter, and Filmmaker. He is a former football player and sports agent. Robert was representing mostly high profile coaches and players in football mainly in Middle East and Asia. He gained fame as a sports agent when he started collaborating with high profile names coaches in football in 2010. In 2016, Robert started taking acting classes at Paris Artists School winning the Best Actor-Talent Award at the final competition. After finalizing his acting studies , Robert made his film debut in 2017 in “Before Suicide Movie” an awards winning drama film based on real life story. Trif wrote the story, directed and produced the film and played the main role of a husband who had to face alone his life problems after being left by wife his friends and his family. Among first feature films is the comedy film “Please choose me as your boyfriend“ in which he played the main role of Marco a young man who is trying along with his friends to win the heart of a girl he meet in a restaurant. His recent work is the drama film Karma based on real life story and Unwanted Love where for the first time he speaks Hindi in the film.The films will be released in 2020 in cinemas. In 19 November 2017 he won the Best Foreign Actor of the Year at UAE Short Film Festival for his performance in Before Suicide and has been nominated for awards 6 times at various festivals and theatres around the world. A versatile actor who enjoys playing difficult roles from drama, action to comedy is also enjoying doing theater plays.
