About Scott

Scott Hamilton is an Australian screenwriter specializing in action-based blended-genre feature films. His start in the film industry came after turning his back on a career in electrical engineering to become a camera operator on the trashy reality tv series "Big Brother". Well it made sense at the time, and the long, monotonous hours filming people sleeping allowed Scott to ponder screenplay ideas. It paid off. He’s won the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, ScriptPipeline’s 1st Look Project, and ScreenCraft’s Horror Contest with separate screenplays, as well as placing as a semi-finalist in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship. When he's not writing, Scott teaches filmmaking as a university lecturer and directs his own short films (which have played at multiple Academy Award qualify festivals).
