Tom Zanca's sci-fi short script, "Standoff, was named "Best Screenplay" at the 2018 Manhattan Short Film Festival. That same script took First Place in the 2018 Destiny City Film Festival, Third Place in the 2018 Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards short script category, was named a Finalist in the 2018 Los Angeles Cinefest Screenplay Competition, and a Finalist in the DC Shorts Film Festival Screenwriting Competition. He wrote and directed an original dramatic TV pilot, "Bloodhounds", which was a selection of The New York Television Festival, Garden State Film Festival, and The PilotLite Online TV Festival (sponsored by producer Michael Mailer). Additionally, he wrote and directed two short films which were screened in three film festivals.
