  • The Irish Wake of Paddy O'Toole

    The Irish Wake of Paddy O'Toole (2019 - 2024)
Theater by Judith Sapperstein Maureen McCleary-Donnelly The delightful and mischievous Paddy O’Toole has passed away, and all his friends have gathered to say their last goodbyes. The Funeral Director brings everyone to order and the eulogies begin. Things start rather normally until suddenly, the ghost of Paddy O’Toole appears to participate in his own wake. It seems there is a delay in processing, and he is in a holding pattern before he is able to go to the great beyond, so he thought he might as well see what everyone has to say about him while he’s waiting.

  • Friends in High Places

    Friends in High Places (2024)
Theater by Judith Sapperstein (Comedy, Romance and Science Fiction) Production Manager & Assistant Director When a UFO lands on the National Mall, President Arnot Thinkinear thinks he’s found a way to fix the economyβ€”by siphoning off the ship’s platinum exhaust for himself. Between an Elvis-impersonating alien, a love-struck General, and two relentless news anchors, the Oval Office is about to get a lot more β€œuniversal.” A wacky, fast-paced political satire about friends in very high places. *NOTE: I produced and assistant directed this multimedia production, creating the video content and running every cue, sound, lighting, entrances, and multimedia, live from the booth while directing the cast and stage manager through headset.

A simple set and a powerful message make this a favorite for theaters everywhere.

  • Unthinkable!

    Unthinkable! (2019)

As they uncover the gruesome fate of a young girl named Eve, the past refuses to stay buried. A powerful supernatural drama where history and hauntings collide. *NOTE: the full play was produced to video and can be seen here: https://www.stage32.com/media/4138722207096385142

  • Claus-trophobia: The Santa Effect

    Claus-trophobia: The Santa Effect (2019)
Theater by Judith Sapperstein Mrs. Claus YMI News anchor Dennis Doanahow has the scoop of a lifetime: an exclusive with Santa Claus. There’s just one problem. Dennis has developed a severe case of β€œClaus-trophobia,” passing out cold the moment he sees a red suit. Accompanied by his skeptical co-anchor Sheila Blabberman, Dennis heads to the North Pole for a hilarious holiday mission involving giant elves, shoe-obsessed Mrs Claus, and a cure that only Santa could dream up.

  • Nora Swan: Murder Most Personal

Nora Swan: Murder Most Personal (2019)
Theater by Judith Sapperstein Stage Manager In 1951, Nora Swan discovers that the car accident that took her sight and her husband’s life was no accidentβ€”it was a cold-blooded OSS assassination. As she and a rugged American ally, Dempsey, hunt for the killer hidden in her inner circle, a quiet, protective bond begins to form. A sophisticated mid-century thriller where the search for the truth leads to an unexpected second chance at love. *NOTE: Stage management on this show included overnight security for a real silver fox fur coat and diamond jewelry, brought in because Judie wanted true authenticity over stage props.

  • Dancer the Footloose Reindeer

    Dancer the Footloose Reindeer (2018)
