My name is Walker Hare and I'm an actor/writer/director originally from San Diego, CA. Contrary to popular belief, I did not surf to school. I did, however, go to Colorado State University to play football and then finished up at UC-Davis in California. In an act of desperation, I needed a few more credits to graduate and took an acting class during my final quarter. Funny how quickly your life can change...
After spending some time living in Europe, I moved to NYC to train at Circle in the Square theater school. I had the wonderful opportunity to act in a variety of theater productions, commercials, and independent films, however, I knew something was missing…
It all came full circle when I returned to San Diego to earn my MFA at UCSD.
I'm currently working on rewrites for a TV Pilot and two screenplays. One of them, Frozen Ice, will be known as the greatest screenplay ever written about the dangerous sporting world of…curling. Also, I am looking forward to some directing projects in the works.
When I'm not acting or writing, I can be found doing CrossFit (yes, I joined the cult) or learning a new random skill (German lessons lately) or reading some non-fiction (All The Light We Cannot See was incredible).
