Q: How do I watch my webinar on demand?

Q: What is the format of a webinar?
A: Stage 32 Next Level Webinars are typically 90-minute educational broadcasts that take place online using a designated software program from Stage 32. Your webinar will be taught by a working industry professional with in-depth teaching on a topic. If you are able to attend live you will be able to ask your Stage 32 Educator questions during Q&A.
Q: What are the system requirements to watch my webinar live?
A: You will need to meet the following system requirements in order to run the webinar software: Windows 7 or later Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) or later.
If you have Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS X 10.9 (Mountain Lion): The webinar software does not support these operating systems. If you are running one of those operating systems, please upgrade now in order to be able to view a live webinar. Upgrade your Windows computer / Upgrade your Mac computer.
Q: What if I cannot attend the live webinar?
A: If you cannot attend a live webinar or purchase an on demand webinar, you will have access to the entire recorded broadcast, including the Q&A.
Q: Will I have access to the webinar afterward to re-watch?
A: Yes! Like all Stage 32 education, after the purchase of a live or on demand webinar, you will have on-demand access to the recording.
Q: How do I get a copy of the handouts provided?

AKEELAH AND THE BEE was released by Lionsgate and starred Laurence Fishburne, Angela Bassett, and Keke Palmer. His script for AKEELAH has recently been adapted into a stage play which is being performed around the country. Doug wrote the screenplay for BRIAN BANKS, which was produced by previous Writers' Room guest Amy Baer, released in August of 2019, and for which Doug won the 2019 Humanitas Prize. The film was directed by Tom Shadyac and stars Greg Kinnear, Aldis Hodge, and Morgan Freeman.During this webcast Doug discusses writing AKEELAH, working as an independent writer/director, how he gets hired for screenwriting assignments, what most writers struggle with when writing a screenplay and how to approach writing a true story!

Mark Simon is a Producer, Director and Story Artist with over 35 years of experience and over 6,000 production credits. He's worked on such hit series as Stranger Things, Dexter, Marvelous Mrs Maisel, FBI, and The Walking Dead as well as over 60 feature films like The Waterboy and Father of the Bride. He's also pitched and sold more than 35 production and distribution deals for his original concepts, and worked with Disney, Nickelodeon, The Golf Channel, HSN and other networks pitching in-house productions. He has owned two animation studios and has produced animation of Disney’s iconic Tinker Bell. He also produced the animation for Fox’s film Tooth Fairy 2, starring Larry the Cable Guy and is the animation producer on Universal’s Little Rascals and How High 2 movies. Timmy’s Lessons In Nature, the animated shorts which Mark Simon developed, directed and produced, won Grand Prize in Nickelodeon’s first-ever Nicktoons Film Festival. He has won over 200 awards for projects he’s written and directed. Mark consulted with the Toon Boom software team which won the Prime Time Engineering Emmy for the Storyboard Pro software. He was also inducted into the DAVE SCHOOL (Digital Animation & Visual Effects School) Hall of Fame, where he is known as the “Godfather of Storyboarding” . Mark was also a 2nd unit director for Nickelodeon and on Steven Speilberg’s seaQuest DSV as well as working as a Special Effects Supervisor for NBC and Fox network shows.
