About Jose

Born and raised in the small town of Moura, southern Portugal, surrounded by vast plains of wheat and olive trees.
Been writing stories ever since I learned how to write and discovered my passion for directing during my late teens.
Short films have a special place in my heart so whenever I can I write scripts and direct small, indie projects.
In the past years I have become enamored by the possibilities that serialized fiction allows for character deconstruction and so I've been working on a passion project for a tv show for a while now.
Massive fan of David Fincher, Hayao Miyazaki and Andrei Tarkovsky.
I've lived in Peru, the Netherlands and Italy for extended periods; fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, English and Italian!
I love hiking: I walked the Inca Trail and hiked all the way up to Machu Picchu seven times during my three years in Peru; also walked the 700 kms from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago de Compostela.
