Lisa Brave is passionately committed to bringing characters to life in high quality, well-written television, film and theater productions that entertain and inspire people. She brings warmth and compassion to roles with a large element of both strength and vulnerability behind these qualities. These attributes support her placement as a great mom, wife, social worker or nurse, or as a tough, but likable policewoman, detective or lawyer. Lisa always comes to the set prepared, on time, and with flexibility and a sense of humor.
Lisa Brave began her journey at The Ohio State University as a Theater major, and studied under Joy Reilly and Iona Zelenka. As a Freshman, she was cast in Summer and Smoke, directed by Donald Glancy, the only underclassman among graduate students and professional actors. She also acted in student film. Although Lisa graduated with a Degree in Natural Resources, she continued her involvement in theater through the OSU club, Strollers Student Theatrics, and enjoyed a run in the award-winning production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
Lisa put acting on the back burner for several years while she married, raised a family and pursued her environmental science career. However, she participated as much as she could in Community Theater, taking several roles at Country Gate Theater and other theaters in Belvidere and Phillipsburg, NJ, and at St. Pete City Theater and American Stage in St. Petersburg. Her credits also include numerous industrials, short films, print ads, and commercials, as well as an extra in feature films. Lisa is striving to be cast in more leading or supporting roles in short and feature film, locally, and to be cast in a dramatic series or major motion picture shot in the Southeast.
